“A Tradition of Pride and Excellence”

J.H.S. has a proud tradition of athletic excellence!

Our football team has won 4 state championships, 12 sectional titles, and 16 league championships.

Our boys basketball team has been a state finalist twice and has won 14 sectional titles and 17 league championships.

We have 23 varsity sports at Jamestown High School: football, boys and girls basketball, baseball, softball, wrestling, boys and girls soccer, boys and girls swimming, boys and girls tennis, boys and girls golf, boys and girls indoor track, boys and girls cross country, boys and girls track & field, boys and girls bowling, and girls volleyball.

Modified Sports:

Our young athletes are able to develop their skills by competing on the modied level in 7th and 8th grade at our three middle schools (Jefferson, Persell, and Washington Middle Schools).  These student-athletes are able to play on the following teams: boys and girls basketball, boys and girls soccer, boys and girls track, boys and girls cross country, girls volleyball, softball, and wrestling.

Did you know???

The JPS athletic department comprises less than 7/10 of 1% of the  total school budget (0.61%).  This is one of the biggest “bangs for the buck” that our school district and community gets from its investment in the athletic participation of the youngsters in our district.  Please continue to support interscholastic athletics in Jamestown!
