Washington Middle School

We at Washington Middle School strive to provide a safe and nurturing environment, which is conducive to learning. We have high expectations for all our students, and a highly dedicated and qualified staff. We have an enrollment of approximately 560 students in grades 5th – 8th, with approximately 80 staff members as well as community and parent volunteers. Our staff is dedicated to the success of all students in their academic studies as well as helping them to become well-rounded responsible and respectable young adults. It is our goal that when our 8th graders leave us for the high school they are ready for all the challenges that lie ahead.

Our school runs on 13-week trimesters. Report cards are sent home with students three times a year as well as mid-term progress reports, which are sent home at the ½ mark of every trimester. Recently, we have added a Parent Portal to the district website which allows parents/guardians to access students grades on line. We also have a homework hotline which can be called @ 483-4335 to access homework assignments on a daily basis. If you would like more information on accessing the Parent Portal please stop in the main office with a form of picture identification and you will be provided with the information necessary to access the parent portal.

We are very fortunate at Washington Middle School to have a before and after school program called the Washington Advantage Program. For more information please see information above.
We believe very strongly that the success of our students depends on the partnerships that we have with our surrounding community and parents. At Washington Middle School we are very fortunate to have a School/Home/Community Volunteer Program. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer in our building please contact Terry Struchen @ 483-4285.

If you would like more information or would like to visit our school please contact the main office @ 483-4413.
