My philosophy of education is based on ideas that I have developed over my years as an educator, as a student and after fourteen years of military experience. I believe that all students can learn if given the opportunities, motivation, and guidance.  Every educator knows that students are all individuals and all have an equal right to a good education.  It is the job of all educators, whether it be the principal, teacher, coach or whomever, to promote equal education amongst their students.  Students rely on educators to provide guidance for their educational and emotional needs.  Educators, especially principals, should be providing this guidance and motivation through a positive, disciplined environment.  It is extremely important to maintain a positive environment in order for the students to feel comfortable; however discipline must also be an equally important factor in maintaining a balanced environment for the students.  Besides creating a balanced environment for the students, it is critical to create this same type of environment for the faculty and staff as well.  A comfortable environment will conduce positive educational experiences for the students.  Education, or rather quality education, hinges on relationships among the teacher, principal, students, and community.  Education is not simply learning information from a text book; it is learning respect, learning about the community, and about your function as a citizen.  It is learning what respect is from the adults around you.  Education is an ongoing process and it is extremely important for the teachers as well as students to have an education that is ongoing.
