She is a great writer. Her work is always well written and rich in detail and deeper meanings. Some of her work is for adults only so be sure students pick up her teen books.

Patricia Wrede

She is the author of the Enchanted Forest Chronicles series. These books are a spin off of traditional fairy tales. She adds strong female characters, wit and interesting spins wrecking old cliches.

J. K. Rowling

No explanation necessary.

Lois Lowry

Students have recommended her to me. She is the author of a couple of books dealing with the philosophical idea of a utopian society and the sacrifices that need to be made to sustain it. Her writing is very real wth deep human questions.

J.R.R Tolkien

Lord of the Rings author. There are many books in this collection. This author has created an entire world with actual history, mythology, folk tales and legends, and different languages. The languages are complete enough to be learned and spoken like any language of this world. He was a professor of the classics and linquistics.

Michael Endt

Anyone who has seen The Neverending Story the movie must read the book. It is rich in philosophy and psychology. The books are much richer and deeper than the movie. Also, there are complete sections left out of the movie that are essential to understanding the book.
