Materials Needed for Class
Organization and keeping track of materials directly affects students grades.
Students will be required to keep track of packets, worksheets, vocabulary lists, and any assignments I hand out that must be completed. Students are responsible for knowing what those assignments are and remembering due dates. "I forgot" is not an acceptable excuse.
In order to keep students organized it is mandatory that each student keep a three ring binder. If the binder does not have pockets, they must keep a folder in it.
Five dividers are needed for the different sections. Dividers do come with pockets and are great for organization as well.
The five sections in the notebook will be Notes, Literary Terms, Vocabulary terms, Journal and Creative Writing section.
A separate notebook with three binder holes in it may be used for the journal. The benefit of this is it can be kept neatly in the binder but handed in by itself when I grade journals.
