To the Parents of Future Team Transformation Students:

In the past, parents and students have been concerned about getting the proper school supplies with which to begin the school year. This letter is to inform you of the basic supplies necessary to start next year at Persell Middle School.

Watch for the ‘back to school’ sales for the following supplies which your child will need:

One cloth (jumbo) book cover for S.S.
Three one-subject spiral notebooks for S.S., ELA, & Sci.
Five twin-pocket folders (plastic ones last longer)
One pack of colored pencils
One pencil pouch (not a box) with plenty of pencils
Optional - a locker shelf (to help with organizing books, boots, etc.)

PTA will again be providing the assignment agenda for each child.

We are also asking the students to bring in one box of tissues and one package of loose-leaf paper for community use in the homeroom.

We do not recommend the purchase of the three-ring binders or wheeled backpacks, as they do not fit in the lockers. We also ask that you do not purchase self - adhesive covers for textbooks.

Please keep the evening of September 4th open on your calendars for our PTA/Team Transformation informational parent meeting. We hope this meeting will ease any of your concerns and answer questions that you may still have.

P.S. Please work with your child on basic math facts (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division). They must be memorized to ensure an easier start in math in the fall.
