Technology Education
Persell Middle School
One of the main objectives of teaching technology education here at Persell Middle school is to help our students be technologically literate while meeting NYS standards in Math, Science, and technology. In addition, students are encouraged to practice ELA as well as Career Development and Occupational Studies conventions while working on project-based learning activities to meet intended goals.
During any given trimester, there are four classes of technology literacy. Each class has about 23 students with various levels of technical skills and usually are grouped by grade level.
Please contact the Technology Education faculty or the main office for any questions or concerns.

Welcome to Technology Education at Persell Middle school.
Persell has a great wood shop, so the predominant learning activity usually includes a woodworking project that students choose to work on. During the production phases of the process, students are taught that safety comes first. Then, they’re introduced to key ideas in technology, technological systems, and the seven resources of technology education.
