Welcome to my neck of the woods!  I am originally from North East, Pennsylvania.  Notice the grape icons on the map near North East and other locations along Lake Erie.   Fruit trees and grape vineyards flourish in this region due to Lake Erie's moderating effect on the climate.  I now live near the southern end of Chautauqua Lake in Jamestown, New York.  It will be a  pleasure to be your guide as we embark on a seven day virtual field trip, touring many of the geological sites of western New York and Pennsylvania.  Each location is within two to three hours of our starting point, the Buffalo airport.  We will investigate one of the most amazing national landmarks of North America, Niagara Falls.  Other sites of interest include Lake Erie shorelines, Kinzua Dam, Howe's Caverns and much more.  Also included is a one day field trip intended for students.
