Describe BushFacultyGAMistretta here.

This site is under construction!!

This site is in the process of getting ready for the next school year.

I am looking forward to teaching your child this year.

Fourth grade is a transition year for your child. Thls is a year that will have preparation for tests in the following areas:

English Language Arts - 3 days at the beginning of February

Mathematics - 3 days in May

Science - 2 days in May

We will also be preparing for the State's Social Studies test in November of 5th grade.

Here are some things you should do to help your child become successful in fourth grade:

1) Your child will need a quiet place to work on homework.

2.) Every night your child should be reading 15-20 minutes

(orally to you or a sibling, silently, or you may read to your child)

3.) Spelling words should be studied for 10 minutes, nightly.

4.) Multiplication math facts need to be memorized this year.

(The facts are needed for long division, double digit multiplying, and fractions)

All children can learn. All children have a learning style that best meets their individual needs. But children with special needs may require further adaptations and modifications to enhance their learning. These adaptations and modifications may include the provision of a flexible setting (e.g., place to work), flexible schedule (e.g., extra time to complete a task), revised format (e.g., verbal or visual prompts), or use of learning aids (e.g., computer).
