Pupil Personnel Services

The Jamestown Public School District is large enough to provide a broad range of student support services yet small enough to meet the individual needs of students. Pupil Personnel Services is an integral part of students total education program. The department includes:

• Pupil Personnel Services Staff Members
  

• Health and Attendance assists the district in monitoring and maintaining high levels of student attendance. In addition, health and attendance assists our nursing staff in meeting the needs of students.
  

• Nursing/Health Services are provided in every building within the district by registered nurses and family nurse practitioners. Services meet students' needs regarding daily health emergencies, health appraisals and screenings and increased awareness of health and fitness.
  

• Psychological Services, Occupational and Physical Therapy Services, Speech Therapy Services and Teacher of the Deaf Services are provided throughout the district for those students in need of evaluation and/or support.
  

• Special education services are provided within all schools to meet the individual needs of students with disabilities in the least restrictive environment.
  

• Section 504 services are provided within all schools to meet the needs of students eligible for such services.
  

• Home schooling by parents is coordinated through the Pupil Personnel Services department.
