Our teachers are committed to providing learning experiences for students to help them develop solid understanding of math concepts as well as fluency in basic skills.  Providing the opportunity for students to become active learners is a primary goal of the Jamestown schools.  We accomplish this through mathematical instruction that fosters exploration, discovery, and making sense of the meaning of mathematics.  Problem solving is a primary learning goal at all grade levels, challenging students to apply their mathematical knowledge in context.
