My Area Behind The

IS Department Doors

Here in the JPS District‭‭, ‬‬students are encouraged to explore new careers that were not available a generation ago‭‭.  ‬‬My occupation as a Computer Technician Specialist was an unavailable option for women‭‭.  ‬‬Over the years of working in‭‭ ‬‬this profession‭‭, ‬‬I've branched out in several areas trying to find this niche‭‭. ‬‬The JPS District has a strong technology department‭‭ that ‬supports its educational programs‭‭. ‬‬With the fast paced growth of technology‭‭, ‬‬we here in the department are constantly learning and burgeoning with information‭‭. ‬‬This field is challenging us every day‭‭. ‬‬It's great‭‭!‬ ‬

    As I work in the schools‭‭, ‬‬my presence as a Computer Specialist Technician serves as a role model for the students‭‭. ‬‬Both girls and boys need to see that women‭ ‬can be‭‭ ‬‬competent at this‭‭. ‬‬No‭ ‬days‭ ‬are‭ ‬ever the same‭‭! ‬‬I am eager to come to‭‭ ‬‬work‭‭;‬ ‬‭‭ ‬‬it's an extraordinary job‭‭!‬ ‬
